Fred Rogers and Will Kenney continued with their dominance in 2005 on Sunday.

In the day's first game, Justin Hastings dueled against Will Kenney in an extra-inning thriller. The brothers Hastings had an excellent scoring opportunity in the home half of the first, but failed to score with the bases loaded and no outs. Will Kenney would not allow a runner past second base for the remainder of the game.

Kenney's opposition, Justin Hastings, looked unhittable for the first four innings. Hastings mowed down hitter after hitter until Fred Rogers finally earned a base hit in the fifth inning. One inning later, Rogers and Kenney strung together two hits and two Hastings walks to earn the game-winning run. The brothers Hastings threatened in the home half of the sixth, but Kenney calmly struck out the last two batters of the game for a 1-0 victory.

Game two showcased another of the game's fine arms: that of two-time HMWL Champion Fred Rogers. Rogers allowed only two hits over three innings against Tom Horan and Justin Hastings to record his seventh victory of 2005. His record of 7-2 is best in the league.

Rogers got all the run support he would need in the top of the first, where a shaky Justin Hastings gave up a 2-run double. The two runs would hold up, and Rogers and teammate Rich McMackin would cruise to a 2-0 win.
