McMackin brings back the loud bat

Rich McMackin may not be the pitcher of years past, but his bat still carries a lot of weight.
Despite a loss in game 1, McMackin homered in two of his first three at bats of the 2006 season.
The opening game of the day started off rocky for pitcher Justin Hastings, who suddenly couldn't find the plate. He managed to only allow two runs in the first.
The first of Rich's two solo shots came in the home half of the first, cutting the lead in half. His other bomb would tie the game in the third inning.
Justin, after two solid innings of work, would make the mistake of leaving a pitch low and inside to brother Craig. After depositing the ball into right field for a homer, the visitors quickly took the lead back, 4-2.
The veteran team of Rich, Chris and Justin did their best to tie the game. After loading the bases, however, Fred struck out Chris to end the threat and lock up the victory for the youngn's.
Game 2 was a much tamer contest. The pitcher's duel between TJ and Justin did not yield a run until the home half of the third. There, Rich and Justin strung together back-to-back-to-back singles.
Justin scored from second on a fielding blunder by the usually sure-handed Craig giving Rich and Justin a 1-0 victory.
